Ryukyu Golden Kings announce signing of Filipino player Carl Tamayo

On January 11th, RYUKYU GOLDEN KINGS has announced signing of Filipino player Carl Tamayo.

21 year old, Carl Tamayo will wear #33 with the GOLDEN KINGS. Carl has been a part of the Philippine National Team since 2017 and played college basketball for the UP Fighting Maroons of the University of Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).

Carl has commented through the team, "Hi! I am Carl Tamayo. I am 21 years old, from Philippines. I am honered and very excited to be part of this great organization, Ryukyu Golden Kings. Can't wait to play with you guys! See you soon!"

RYUKYU GOLDEN KINGS also commented through the release, "Carl Tamayo will be joining the KINGS utilizing the Asian Player Quota roster spot. Tamayo leads the next generation of talent for Team Philippines as a 21 year old forward and before graduation of university he will be starting his professional career with the KINGS. We are excited to welcome him as an immediate addition to the team with his blessed physique and his wide shooting range. We feel his youthful energetic play style will not only be popular with our fans within Japan, but will be popular with among the fans from the Philippines. Also he has a significant following of over 100 thousand on social media and he will bring his popularity and hope of his home country, Philippines and will represent us by wearing the Kings jersey.
